As a line holder, they can, in essence, keep you out forever they just have to pay you LAP.

As a reserve, they can't reschedule or reassign you a trip into days off. They can only take you into a day off if the trip is greater than 120 TAFB int'l and it can only go into 1 day off and that is on initial call out.

Cross thread quote?

And if you want to be ashamed of people in the union you might be better off starting with the JA list and then move on to guys who refused to wear their vest and lanyard. You'll find none of us new guys had any problem getting in gear. Last, I would vote no in a second if there was leadership, a plan, and a willingness from the pilot group to reasses their QOL priority.

I'll review my posting history but I don't recall having a habit of name calling. I apologize in advance if I was doing it without noticing.

FTFF -

I too spent some time reviewing older posts of yours and I now realize I'd lumped you with several others who also like to be somewhat in-your-face and resort to epithets when their arguments fail. So I sincerely apologize for that.

I don't enjoy your brash comments sometimes, you know, 'whiney *****es' and 'fat dude' comments but no, you did NOT deserve the comment I made in response either.

...and you're right, the truly despicable human beings, the cancer of our profession are the managers who took jobs here in the middle of our furlough, the ones who flew our cargo in the middle of the Cologne workers' strike and so on..

The way I look at most discussions is to try to see things from both sides and often I'll argue for the side I might be opposing simply to see if I might've missed something I should be seeing but am not?

Here, I am torn over a TA I like in many aspects but am disappointed with on other, equally important issues. So I argue against it asking to be convinced otherwise.

Berating comments and rude, my-way-or-the-highway attitude will not convince me to vote for it. In our lingo - give me more of an IPA pilot's and less of a ups mangler's attitude and you'll win me, and most of the other skeptics over.

To recap; I apologize for lumping your comments with a few other members' messages here and for getting upset with you.
You did not deserve to have become the target of my irritation, the way you did. Frankly none of the TA proponents here did either.
I'll reserve my anger for those who truly deserve it, the managers.

I'm still leaning toward a yes on the TA but am still disappointed with the issues I've mentioned before. I'll keep researching before the vote opens up.

Appreciate you reaching out to me,

WS

Whalesurfer,

On this we can truly agree. I keep hearing about the GGBP Nurps and to my mind, they don't exist. I would never socialize with them, friend them on facebook (if I ever joined facebook) or even sit down and shoot the $hit with them. The instant captains and check airmen are a joke to every other airline bubba that hears how these clowns got their spurs.

I looked over some of my recent posts as well and I apologize if I have offended anyone mortally here. We all have one adversary here and my fellow IPA brothers and sisters are not the enemy. This TA is far from perfect, but I applaud the efforts of the EB/NC in bringing us this far.

Good post and I agree. We're in this together; every now and then we'll have to agree to disagree on specific issues but the overall unity should remain.

PS. If you offended anyone "mortally" I'm afraid your apology is much too late.

Because when we did the re-calibration survey towards the end, once again the group went for dollars vs work rules. That is the problem with the FUPM mode. The group doesn't seem to trust them on work rules so that all got dumped in favor of money.

Nothing much changed, why would you feel the need for sample bid packs? Still waiting for them from the last contract. These ones from the last 10 years can't be right!
