Good stuff! Vacancies across the board.

Is this MOAB enough for the doomsayers here?

While glad to see a vacancy bid, I also wonder about the commute to ANC. It is an already ridiculous commute at times, but adding another possible 57 commuters could present a real problem getting to work.

BINGO!

This was one of my biggest disappointments with the new contract. At a few GMM meetings I got the impression ANC commuting was very high on their radar and that they're looking into it. Limiting P3s would've been the ideal way of handling it.

Instead they incorporated a 24-hour double-booking lock? So once again, someone poops and everyone must wear a diaper.

In the meantime:

SUBJ:Bumped from UPS**/03Oct16 SDFANC
MSG:Please check Flt Ops Web or call Jumpseat Desk 180022*** for info.

I have pages and pages of this notification saved on my phone.
I'm very happy about us hiring more pilots but I suspect commuting to/from ANC will get even harder
.
:-(

I suspect this will make the junior captain a 2006 or 2007 hire.

Exactly. Public math here.

I would be surprised if that was the case. Every bid a few more who have been bypassing choose to upgrade because they hit the "number" they want below them. I believe it will get to 04 hires and possibly 05 hires, but I just don't see it going lower since 06-07 hires are 4-500 numbers away.

There will be plenty more chances with only 40 747 captains on this bid. That'll get them through the first 3 planes but not much beyond

Still good news.

Odd. 51 Captain slots on 757 Domestic and only 25 CA slots on 757Z. Even though the Z CA list is greater in Total. One would think it would be inverse.
