Pretty easy for someone to figure out who 550 is so I'd zip it if I were him, but what did you hear?

So its really up to the class breakdown and ages
So for those of you in recent classes - how well would a 49+ year old dude fare when it comes to bidding within the class?

At my first airline I thought seniority by age was a dumb idea - but as I get older I am beginning to recognize it for the genius it is. ; )

Yes they always work that way. I have 10 yrs experience on 747 and I got MD11. Welcome to Big Brown, like any other airline out there nothing makes sense, so don't try to figure it out, just enjoy the brown atm and the people.

In 2007, If I recall correctly, a 50 year old was #1 in my class. I think I was # 5 at 40.

In 2017 you would probably be pretty senior as well.

Good Luck !

Good to hear - one of the advantages of growing old. Actually it is the only advantage I can think of this far.

In last few years, UPS has hired effectively all backgrounds (Atlas enjoying lots pilots picked up, but regional, corporate, cargo, LCC, retired military, military, etc. Ages ranged form high twenties to 60 (1 person), low 30's to late 40's early 50's very common.

Did all of you get two weeks notice to your class? It looks like a few only got a week to a few days for the firm job offer...... could be wrong. Just curious!

Thanks!
