The LCO ** sandwich
#21
Which one is the favorite ... A, B, or C ... they decide.
Q: How does FIFO work with LCO?
A: With LCO, FIFO is used to determine the order in which crewmembers may have their lines filled with open time. In other words, if the Company is going to assign open time they must go to the FIFO list to determine who may be assigned. Unlike reserve, FIFO does not determine how the open time may then be allocated. Example: Three crewmembers each have a 4-day block of LCO days. The Company has 3 turn trips in open time it wants to assign. The Company must use FIFO to determine which crewmember may be assigned open flying. Crewmember A is at the top of the FIFO list. The Company may assign one, two or all three turns to Crewmember A. Alternatively, the Company may assign two turns to Crewmember A, and, again, using FIFO, assign the third turn to Crewmember B. Alternatively, the Company may assign one turn each to Crewmembers A, B, and C.

Just read 156 posts on the bar and grill. But sure to say besides "they got us on that one". Not optimal, I suspect that rather than having anything given from us or just wasn't contemplated, but I don't really think it would have changed passage of the thing anyway. Understand that no one likes surprises.
