The good news is the low tonight will only be 1 F. Welcome to ANC!

ANC schools just announced massive budget cuts. 99 plus teachers being laid off and class size 40 plus. See adn.com that. Future up here is bleak. Forgot to add tripling of gas tax coming.

Add to that the whole transportation issue during indoc - be wary of driving a car to sdf as you may get shipped off to ANC for training on day 2.

Just was told more Horizen air commuters with EMB170 expansion in ANC. Many of these pilots commute do to cost of living in ANC. Also hagland pilots are now trumping all pilots except ak and horizon for jump and non rev seats.

SB 91 let out over 1000 criminals in oct. Since then home invasions, breakins to cars, purse snatch and grab and rape has sky rocketed. Downtown is dangerous now. If you leave anything in your car they will bust your windows to get it. PD and State Troopers numbers have been cut. If your coming here read adn.com to get whats going on. I have a crash pad thats in a so so area. Its gotten bad. High end areas are getting hit just as bad. No permit needed for conceal carry fyi.

Wow. Would have thought unrestrained firearm freedom was the definitive solution to petty crime.

Just talked to a friend from the beginning of Feb class. He received ANC and said you are in SDF for a min of 2 weeks before heading up to the great white north.

But "summers are awesome." All two months of it.
