I’ve worked EWR-ANC probably 12 times in the last year? Took a fairly new NURP up to ANC once who commutes outta upstate and took another newhire from somewhere in New England... other than that it’s usually a long, quiet, lonely ride..

For these reasons ... It was 2-3 hour drive to EWR, while only 15 minutes to BDL and most importantly, IT'S still EWR. The only thing predictable about EWR is that there will be delays
