Currahee Mountain in NE Georgia, best known for its WWII use as an airborne infantry regiment training camp of Band of Brothers fame.

The bottom pic reminds me of the vor-alpha approach into Cartersville, the one that goes right over a coal-fired powerplant. There's heat risers over the plant, it really tosses things around but it's a unique approach. You know you're in for a tossing and the approach goes right through the plume.

That's the one. The DC3 is at Rome, and the first one is of Town Center and Parkway point in Kennesaw flying over RYY. Yeah I know, boring... :p
