Old Wings - Carvair N898AT Wrecked has more info the Carvair crash. Theres also parts of a DC4, DC6 and Casa around there.

Love te Carvair - its a shame what happened. I read the artice about the crash - said the strip was short with treacherous winds and such. You guys spend time up there - how bad is it really? Sounds like a lot of heavy equipment has crashed there.

I've never flown in there just flown by a few times and it happened to be a decent day for pictures. From what people have said its a bad place. The picture doesn't do it justice.

WoW that looks like an interesting runway.........I want to try landing on it
