When I saw it I wanted to guess it was someplace else but all I could think of was the Salt Lake and those weird bogs at the south end of the San Francisco Bay, which this one obviously is not a picture of but it did remind me of that spot.
I have to go with the Salton Sea now.

Good job guys...Salt Lake just from the angle Sqwkvfr said...(the Saltn Sea is what I was thinking when I saw it as well.) The Great Salt Lake is not looking "great" these days....
