Coming and coming. |
Jungle, do you know how to use layers in photoshop? Some of your captures are good candidates for wide panoramas with the subject in layers that look something like this: (you wouldnt use this many layers though, but maybe 4 or 5)...

aspects. I think the vast majority are more interested in being able to take a decent photo with minimal time and effort without trekking too deep into the dork forest. I take most of my shots with a simple, cheap camera that can easily be carried anywhere. I don't even own a copy of photoshop. I am just a hack, and enjoy shooting a few snapshots from time to time. Many of the great folks who contribute here share a wonderful slice of their life with minimal gear, and I always enjoy their perspective. I don't want to give them the idea that it takes a huge investment in time and gear to get useful results. Some of the best shots posted here have been shot with simple cameras under difficult conditions. Could they be better? Of course, but the subject matter was the important thing. If you want to write ads for Canon, be my guest, but most of it will fall on deaf ears. If you want to stack twenty bland photos and add a unicorn, that is cool too. Got any aviation shots?:) |
Ok I hear you, settle down though. If I thought they were terrible I wouldnt drop in a look from time to time- even if they are airplanes. I dont want to sound like I am coming down on anyone with camera tips. I know how passionate you are about photography Jungle, and there are a few talented- passionate photographers who post regularly on this site who might be interested in a few little tricks, tips, or gear info. All someone needs to push them over the top from becoming an average photographer to an amazing image creator is a passion for it, and a few people on here have it. So I dont mind adding to the discussion.
This all started as poking fun at Nikon users; spend enough time around other photographers and you'll hear it all the time. Like I said I enjoy viewing your work, take that as a compliment- "work". But I hope you understand that I have no reason to post a single photo. First, I dont even know how to get my photos from my personal website to this site. And second, I dont want them on here for other reasons, including my website has personal contact information about myself on it. So its not going to happen. Period. |
