De-Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunk

It's range/endurance is determined by the OIL not gas it has.

It got my attention as well. Funny what people keep in their hangars . . . :)

Glad you like and thanks to all who've left C&C and visited.

My favourite is the P-51 Mustang, so get a load of this extremely rare C version in the colours of the Tuskegee Airmen and is owned by Kermit Weeks, owner of Fantasy Of Flight, Florida and the aircraft therein.

If you like this one, I have many more of "INA The Macon Belle" on various aviation websites and I've even created a calendar from it. Doesn't it have a superb profile? Doesn't exactly fall into the small prop and vintage trainer category though.

I'm sure you're right, but I was lucky enough to get flights from RAF Hamble when I was an Air Cadet (swing the tilley lamp and pull up a sandbag). The sailors on the Solent during Cowes week must've cr@pped themselves when my pilot decided to do beat-up's on them.
