I flew for Wings 6 years ago. I enjoyed living down there. I wasn't sure about the photos though. It's been long enough that I can't remember all of the mountains any more. What's new in south east these days? Does anyone besides Wings operate Caravans around those parts?

ASpilot2be 08-11-2006 05:32 PM

Thats cool. I want to fly for Wings up here, they are the best local airline byfar. Where do you fly now? As for whats new in SE, well, an abnormal amount of cloudy weather. Also, no fatal airplane crashes in the past few years:) . No one else operates the Caravans up here:( . Which is a good thing for Wings, because the passengers seem to prefer them byfar.

I remember one winter it was so cloudy I didn't own sunglasses. One day heading down the Lynn canal the sun came out and about blinded me. I fly for PenAir in Dillingham now. The scenery here is not as good as in Juneau, but its still nice. I have a friend who may try to get on with LAB next summer. Do you know, will 500 hours still get one hired there?

ASpilot2be 08-12-2006 01:25 AM

I dont know, but it seems like I have heard around 1000 hours, could be mistaken though. I am not looking forward to the scenery change when I do my PPL training in Palmer this Spring:( .

Thanks. I am planning on using Mustang Air, they seem like a good place. Plus, I have a place to stay in Palmer. Do you know anything about Mustang Air?
