Default Tokyo to Narita Commute

This one goes out to all the UAL wide-body pilots who have downtown Tokyo layovers. I've heard that a typical 5-6 day NRT trip includes about 8 hours in a cab between Nartia and Tokyo - good times!

Neat video. Wouldn't taking the Narita Express (NEX) train be considerably faster and cheaper than taking a cab? Must be rolling in the green stuff to be taking a cab in Japan!

It seems to me that you could equally do one for those guys who fly into JFK and have accommodation in Manhatten - except you would have to shake the camera more for all the potholes in the road surfaces and there would be a lot more photos of stationary traffic

... and yes, I'm sure you can argue similar for the journey into the West End of London, albeit without so many potholes

Cool video. Seems that cabby was pretty efficient too.

Odd question...is the "fast lane" in Japan the right lane?

Yes - they drive on the correct side of the road there, as we do in the UK

It's amazing how everyone but Americans have mastered the idea of "GTFO of the fast lane if you're not passing anybody."

Out of about 40 countries I have been to, America is not even the worse. So far, Germany and Japan are the only 2 that I have been to where people do not routinely hog the wrong lane up.
