Final flight
For those who appreciate aviation.......
Sent: Friday, November 03, 2006 1:01 PM Subject: Fw: Retirement flight/last landing of a 747SP in South Africa The link at the bottom has a cool video of the retirement flight/last landing of a 747SP in South Africa, being delivered to a very small museum airstrip......the runway was only 48 feet wide! If you have speakers, crank them up.....great music to go with it!! http://www.rudigreyling.com/movie/bo...ding_small.wmv |
Great video.
I'm sure the Capt & FO were probably doing the Fred Flintstone & Barney Rubble on the brakes though!! :p atp |
Real nice video, thanks for sharing. FYI the airport's ICAO is FAGM and it's got a 5,100 ft runway.

SAA has some great pilots - no doubt here.

Great job puppyz,
I bow to your internet search prowess What a great video, I have seen people have to do go arounds on runways like that with 152's because they come in hot and fast and float 3/4 of the way down the runway. Amazing work by the pilots |
