Default Beech Starship

Found this sitting on the ramp at KACT as we waited for our passengers to arrive. The image quality isn't all that great. All I had with me was my iPhone.

GREAT!

prior related threads-

Raytheon's Starship

P180 Avanti

The Starship was also the driver for development at Beechcraft (later Raytheon, and Hawker Beechcraft) which made them world leaders in composite production at the business level, Hawker 4000 and Beechcraft Premier as examples. I am not a great enthusiast of pusher designs because of the noise they usually make, but composites are here to stay in all levels of aircraft design.

Pretty bird and if I remember correctly - it had quite the sophisticated cockpit (avionics) back in the day.

Google Image Result for http://www.museumofflight.org/files/imagecache/lightbox/TMOF%20Beech%20Starship-4_P2.jpg

One of Mangaged pilots is the highest time Starship pilot in the world. It's crazy!

Fancy screens for the time. Looks a lot like our KAs now
So....what does a high time Starship pilot have?
Do you know where he got his time back in the day (I'm assuming it is all in his past experience)

That chick is incredibly annoying...I can't imagine dating or being married to her.

I worked for Beech when it came out. They made a big deal about it. No, they wouldn't let me fly it. I'll take a King Air any day.

My instructor at FSI a few months ago was the FSI program manager for the Starship program and had all kinds of crazy stories about it. Sounded like a plane ahead of its time.
