Airplane Repo On Discovery Channel

Just saw an episode where they "repod" a Beech Jet 400. Theres was a cut scene from inside the cockpit just as V1 is called, the attitude indicator is in a 60 degree bank and around a 15 degree nose down pitch. Engines probably weren't event running.
Fake.

Never Again
I had the new episode queued to be recorded, but after forcing myself to watch a few seconds of the re-run prior to the new episode, I cancelled the recording and vowed to never watch another episode.
The producers should be forced to watch this drivel in jail. I honestly think this show would be more effective than water boarding, although I have ethical questions as to if this beyond cruel and unusual.
Today's clincher - the repo guy admonishing the camera crew to be quiet, just as he drives a tug up to the King Air.

I'm just wondering if all the legal paperwork is in order why they have to avoid security and sneak around. I understand avoiding the "owner" and I guess it makes good TV, but it bothers me that they may be teaching people who shouldn't be there how to gain access to airports. Some of the older shows with Popovich were much better and more realistic.

like someone said, the Popovich shows were cool, these news ones are fake

I saw one the other day that they were in the everglades and had to sneak up under the cover of darkness and then paddle the sea plane at least an hour "up stream" before getting the pilot to start it up for feath the motorcycle gang ower would shoot on the spot.
Also, another that showed a lot of police activity as a jet was on final in hopes that they were going to get their stolen plane back...the plane aborted and never stopped. Seriously, you want to take possession of your stolen plane and you drive up to the runway with light flashing expecting him to just "pull over"

I've evidence that anyone can see proving it is fake. In the October 3 2014 episode they claim they are on a dangerous island in the Bahamas. Yet, in the video you see repo man Mike Kennedy driving a vehicle. At one point he turns a corner and there is clearly legible a street name marker in the background. It is the corner of Petronia and Frances streets in Key West FL! Go to the street view of that location in Google Maps then watch the episode and you will see the same fence, tree, street sign, Do Not Enter sign and house. All claimed to be in the Bahamas. This show is entertainment, but not reality.

This show is fake!!
Just saw an episode titled "Flying Blind".
Airplane Repo - S02E07 - Flying Blind - Full Episode - YouTube
In this episode Kevin Lacey is coaching a "little girl" on her first repo" of a 172, I guess as his new protege, Heather. (She is not little) This repo was to take place in TX where I live. (Per a previous episode, Kevin Lacey is based out of an airport very close to my home airport). The new chick repo'd a Cessna 172 Skyhawk with the exact same paint scheme as one I trained in for several months. In spite of their best efforts to blur out the tail number, I could still make it out, along with a TX flag decal that I knew to be on the rudder. The tail number was confirmed when she made a radio call prior to landing. Soooo, I called my CFI who trained me in that exact plane and he informed me that it was sitting on the flightline available for flight, not based out of the residential area they depicted on the show. It was NOT REPO'd. We know the owner and he probably let them use it for the show for the $$$.
Way to go, Heather, on your first fake airplane repo!
