I don't think the problem is the firing of the attorneys...more about the constant lying about the real reasons. Had Gonzalez came out and just said...yes it was political...they were politically appointed and politically fired there would have been no issues. With his "I don't recall" and his support staff's "5th ammendant right" stuff...he just dug himself a hole and it makes him look bad.
