What is the coverage like with AT&T on the iPhone? Had any problems in any of the cities you fly to east of the Mississippi?

What about dropped calls... are they common?

Do you get any discount from AT&T on calling plans (with USAirways or ALPA) and if so, how much?

Do you like AT&T?

Anything else???

Thanks.
Simple....AT&T or nothing.

Just a bias view I am sure. Have been an AT&T...Cingular....and former AT&T customer for about 9+ years and would not use any other.

Friends of mine have had Verizon, Sprint, Nextel.....all seemed to have reception problems and dropped calls much more than AT&T on a whole. I'm sure some of this had to do with actual location and other variables, but all in all, with my travels domestically and Int'l I have received very consistent service.....especially in So. America and Europe. Last I checked, AT&T and TMobile were the only two companies that offered GSM service as well.

If you are an ALPA carrier (one of the few good reasons to be so ), AT&T does give a discount. When I stopped in to an AT&T store, I gave them my ALFCIO code which gives you a certain % off your bill a month, as well as a slight discount on equipment purchases too. Dont remember the discount % as far as the bill goes, but is basically "covers" all the taxes that accumulate on your monthly bill (State, 911 charges, ect...). In the end, you do pay more with AT&T, but with the consistent reception and service that I have experienced....it's worth it.

I hope this info helps......SC
