Yup it's non slaved but they really only expect you to know the basics on it and not much trickery. Just remember to think simple which I had to catch myself on a few times.
If you would like to you might want to stop by an FBO and see if they rent a sim for 30 minutes or so. Just in case you have been in an RJ for the past year like me.
