With extensive world-wide operation, sim and ground school instructor and previous Director of Training experience with a large charter outfit in KLUK. (I think that about covers the background)
I was hoping that my current employer would be stable, but now it is apparent that it might not be as recession proof as I had thought. Good luck to everyone who is hurting right now, and best wishes.

well, honestly?
I'd say that puts you somewhat in line with many that are looking right now - just average (if not below).....I see all airline and some older bizjet experience? How will you compete with a guy who is current in a G550 and/or a Global and just got canned from his Hedge Fund/Fortune 100 job and has a strong network and internal references? Thats the market today.
You need an initial, he does not. There's 50K and a month. Welcome to reality Mr Confidence...its an employers market.
and you are coming from the airlines? - many will still hold that against an applicant (I dont agree with that, really)
Again, I hate to sound gloom and doom, but there are VERY few jobs out there right now, and having an airline background? - might be even harder.
Good Luck and lets hope for a quick turn around!
