Default The Reason behind the 777 acquisition

I heard the real reason we didn't pull the trigger on the A-380 had more to do with winglet clearance issues at the gate rather than not hitting projected engineering models.

Like the 757 winglet issue, there was concern we might have to change too much of the parking arrangement. Until then, a "Fly Safe" notam might be appropriate.

Not true.

The real reason is you don't get the chance to lie to the Chairman a second time.

I thought the company purchased the 777 to make jumpseating more difficult for crewmembers. No?

No, that was just a perk for some of the more senior Capts.
