No days off after training. We get paid for ground and sim training. We get paid extra for home study modules which happen about once a quarter.
Trip rig pay is kinda low. But we were trying to get higher rates in the new contract as we were so far behind.
Well considering every other imaginable question has just been answered, iPads or charts? Thanks for the wealth of information by the way

JA is rare as they will offer 150% to anyone willing to pick it up. If not and they run out of reserves JA pays 200% above and beyond any line value and if it rolls into days off you can pick any new days you want no questions. You can accept another JA only if you want for the remainder of the month. Obviously it pays well to get JA'ed if you have nothing going on

IPADS for charts and company manuals. Surface tablets for performance. They are all in the Jets
I will add schedules are becoming a little more commuter friendly as only about 10 percent of the pilots live more than a few hour drive from MSP. If anyone wants to PM me I can send the pay rates.

So do you all typically overnight in Mexico and the Caribbean, or is that more of a day trip?

The trips are changing more and more. During the winter months we usually overnight in the Dominican and some overnights in Cun, Cabo and Jamaica.

Regularly we also overnight in STT and SXM -- deadhead down on AA/DAL day before then fly home the next afternoon. The trips are surprisingly not that senior.

It will be interesting to see how the new scheduling optimizer builds those trips in this winters schedule? I'm sure they will still not be in the day turn lines. In my opinion those trips are the most fun. But not worth shooting the whole month for one overnight.
