One man's "lean forward" is another man's "bend over"

Ahhhh ... no wonder it's so hard to sit in the plane for all those long hours.

From what I'm hearing, this is the kind of attitude that is almost ruining the chances for people like me (2 year degree, No PIC time, 2200TT) that really want to go there. If you want to go to the majors, then stay where you are, but don't use Atlas as a stepping stone. I'd love to haul freight around the world for 21 days at a time, I am aware that they also fly charters

Not really. Who do you think would perform better at an interview - an RJ guy using Atlas as a stepping stone or a low-time guy who really wants the job and the lifestyle? It was painfully obvious when I interviewed who wanted it and who was kicking tires. Keep after it.

Well, the rest of us only do it 17 days at a time, but whatever floats your boat.

The rest of your post is spot-on, though. I'd much rather sit next to a guy who wants to be here (and help make it better) than one who's going to sit there and whine the whole time about why he's not at Delta yet.

Iron Maiden...keep the faith. Atlas has finally cracked the code on people like Jerk Store who have no problem using them as a free ticket to something else. It may make it a bit tougher for guys like you in the short term, but it will keep people like JS from playing the "I got mine, pull up the ladder" game on Atlas' dime.

Damn shame that there are people like that out there. Because they are likely the same ones who will have an excuse when a picket line goes up...

I have searched with no luck...is there a common denominator amongst the 2014 hires? ie previous acmi heavy international time vs straight 121 vs mil heavy time?
If anyone has a breakdown of experience from the most recent class I would be interested to see it.

My friend at Atlas said there is only a plus 1 gain in pilots for 2014. Between the pilots retiring, quitting and the new hires. This says a lot about the quality of life at Atlas.
