Contract Extension
I still hold out 10% hope the negotiating committee will surprise us with the TA we deserve.
90% of me thinks we will get:
1) Repackaged concessions that will net us the loss of 600 to 800 jobs.
2) Vacation that is pay, no credit. Read more pay but NO QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENT. Leaving us in the basement with the worst vacation. Captain Dickson. "Industry leading work rules"
3) Pay parity with the United pilots
Today, as we speak, the United pilot's hourly rate on the 767-400 and the A330 is 19% higher than ours.
If we cannot hit 22% 1/1/16 why didn't we just do a 2 year extension and match the United pilot rates with
NO CONCESSIONS
If we make the numerous concessions Captain Malone has warned us about, once again we are self funding. Selling quality of life for hourly rates that already exist at United.
No surprise I don't think we should make concessions during record profits, but if we are to sell our souls let's demand 22/6/6 at a bare minimum. 18% DC.
If we are going to agree to pay, no credit vacation, let's get at least 5:15, not 4:00.

F anything that doesn't have more money AND more time off.
I'm a hard "no" if I have to work more to get paid more.
My little kids don't give a **** about a few more dollars. They (and I) do care if I'm gone more.
For chrissakes. We're parents, trying to raise the best kids we can. I refuse to be an absentee father so Bastian, the shareholders, and executives can make a few more dollars they don't need.

"Paid vacation" should be paid vacation. 5:15/day.
I've heard everything is sewn up except pay.
* No change to PS.
* 80hrs sick time/year with no questions asked (and no pre-verification.)
* FO's dropped for OE will not be allowed to GS over those days.
FWIW.

So no change to total sick leave hours, just lowering the no-verification to 80? That's a concession to me.
