Default Capstone Project

I am down to the last few courses with my masters and I am just looking for some info on some good subjects to research for a capstone project (graduate research project) to finish it all up. The subject I previously was working on is not panning out, plus it is a few years old. The MAS is in Aviation Safety, with a concentration in Human Factors also.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Thanks,

Are you in contact with UAA? They had lots of grant money to develop/test Capstone technology early on throughout Alaska.

Different capstone, I think he's talking about the master's program equivalent of a thesis project. Daniel Webster has them assigned for each MBA cohort (group of candidates who go through the program together).

Not sure if it's the topic you abandoned, but runway incursions certainly seemed hot for a while. Someone else posted here a few months back, trolling for ideas to prevent incursions via some form of visual alert. I think I suggested powerful red lasers for painting giant vibrating X's on the taxiway pavement for no-go zones, and for progressive taxi, big arrows dynamically painted in front of planes with the N-# or flight number tagged on it.

Never heard back

That is the project alright. I originally started with the 605 course in P'cola with ERAU. I was looking at the thought process of flying at MAX TIT (ITT) for long periods compared to constantly throtteling back and forth during touch and go's (C-130 stuff) and the related turbine failures we were experiencing (USMC). I was an FE at the time, but have retired and moved into the left seat of a Lear 35 and 55. Hard to get turbine failure stuff in the lear, unless anyone here has had the problem arise. Just fishing for some ideas and info.

Thanks

Rick
