True statement. What makes any language iron clad is the fact that the Company must seek to buy it back if they desire to get around it. So, if we decide that we can sell it for something even better, something that we otherwise would not have been able to achieve, isn't that a good thing?

I'm all aghast at this "vicious circle" of overall scope improvements.

See above. I'm always happy to trade up in protections, or whatever else, so long as it's a true overall improvement. I don't care so much where I fly, so long as the quantity and quality (read dollar value) of the flying remains at or above its previous level.

"At or above?" Why are you ok with "at?"

"At" the previous level of anything, including QOL and other compensation, is not acceptable. It must be "above."

In addition to pay, the "quantity and quality of time off (read family life)" must also improve..not stay the same. Every single last facet of the contract MUST improve. PERIOD.

For crying in Sleepy Ed's beer, Alan. The company is rolling in money. Why are you OK with anything staying "at" previous levels?
