Default Spirit recall, get some drama for your Mama

Sent to me from the guys who just got whacked:

Spirit Pilots,

We are sending this letter in appreciation of our fellow pilots who have called, emailed and texted in appreciation and recognition. We want to thank all of the pilots for the opportunity to serve on your behalf.

All of our decisions and actions have been made with a guiding principal. That we are line pilots working for the benefit of all Spirit Pilots.

We are very satisfied with the work accomplished. The goals achieved would not have happened without your support.

There are many questions about yesterdays events. Unfortunately we do not have answers as the reasons have not been articulated.

Again, Thanks to all of our fellow Spirit Pilots.

there was a recall of the MEC chairman and vice chairman. The treasurer resigned.

I think most in the rank and file are for this change, though the timing isn't ideal.

Thank you all for your time in volunteering.
Paul is a good man.
Only met the other two briefly, and have no opinion.
The goal remains the same.
Let's focus on the future negotiations, and not on the dissension.

IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

Not sure how you can make that statement. Was there a poll?
It is probably good to change out our key people now and then, but the issue here might be how it was done, and what circumstances led to such a dramatic action?

They are all good men, they have done a lot of good on our behalf. Have a lot of respect for their volunteering their time for us through all these years.
And I agree, we must look ahead now, even though many of us are second-guessing our reps qualifications.

Haha. I should put a poll together. But based on loose conversation with line pilots and Prolly because of being based in Vegas where most are relatively junior and have been at other carriers with MUCH tighter union leadership in terms of organization and communication. The union here is extremely weak on those fronts.

I do think the timing and method employed is a a lil unnerving at this point though. But I have confidence in the leadership and am optimistic about the near and distant future

First off, I don't believe Creed got, as you say, "whacked", I believe the word you were looking for is QUIT, as in, "I'm taking my ball and going home, I don't want to play with you guys anymore."

However, in memoriam, how about a list of those "accomplishments?" and what goals were achieved?

With this, I bid adieu to these brave warriors.

Good to hear from you, Ram. You are usually the most well spoken of your group. I appreciate the little things.

When I first saw the email from Ackerman that he was now MEC Chairman I was surprised since I didn't see "bloodless coup" on the MEC agenda sent out last week.
