ANG- Looking for answers

Short version is it depends. They will probably want to send you to the first available basic/tech school class dates. You may be able to work something out to get dates that work better for your school schedule. Or, you may not. Ask the question before you enlist.

If you enlist while in college, keep in mind that colleges and universities DO NOT have to work with you the way an employer is required to work with employees who have National Guard/Reserve training requirements.
When I was a company commander, I had two soldiers who needed time off from annual training. We had to get creative in order to get them back to home station so they could complete final exams and graduate.
If you get called to AD and it comes down to your military obligation vs. your academic obligations, the military usually comes first. Your college or university might not be real accommodating in this scenario and you could lose some money.
