Default Envoy Military Helo to Airline "sponsorship"

Hello All,

I'm looking for anyone who's participated or knows more information about this Envoy program. Any of you fellow rotor-heads out there know if this a good deal?

There has been some discussion on aptap-dot-org, if you're interested.

Good place to look for some specialized advice, and mentorship as well.

Good Luck!

It's been mentioned a couple of other places on here. I interviewed for it in July, still waiting on release from AD though. A former squadron-mate is doing it, currently flying out in SD. Seems legit. They're throwing a lot of money at you, choosing that airline is your choice though, go with it if the bases work for you. I personally have in-laws in DFW so it works for me.

Summary:
HR interview only, they'll fly you down if you're not local.
$23K toward building FW PIC time (request you use your GI Bill for the Multi) with Coast Flight Training in San Diego.
$5K worth of ATP-CTP training ( I assume the written etc. as well)
$37/hr first year pay, pretty good for a regional
$17,100 sign on bonus with 2 year commitment
$5K legacy airframe bonus for E145 or CRJ700

They ask for a 2 year commitment with the program, so there's no reason not to take the bonus. I'm jumping on this as soon as I'm released, best of luck whichever you choose.

Only other bit about it that I've read somewhere that banana380 didn't cover was that you are responsible for providing your own lodging while in San Diego flying with Coast. Maybe it was on Coast's web page. Seemed like they might have a crash pad you could pay to stay in. I would have dug deeper into the program, but Envoy isn't on my short list. Best of luck.

Affirm. You aren't getting paid, they're just paying for the flight time. Coast has a crashpad that you can split for $430/mo with a room mate, or have your own place for $860/mo.
