What is ther best resource for preparing for an interview? I know there are a lot of gouge sites with questions and answers, but I am intersted in a book or other resource that will cover the concepts.

Pilot Jobs and Employment Resources - Pilot Jobs Board, Pilot Salary and Pay Rates, Interview Gouge, Forums, Recruiting is great source.

Prior to my interview with eagle, I had the chance to sit down with an assistant chief pilot/ check airman/ training captain / hiring captain. He pretty much walked me through the process. It took me quite a bit of work to track him down. In the end it didn't pay off at all.

Eagle called me three days prior to my interview stating, "all hiring had been postponed indefinitely."

I love this business. Anyone know how much Instrument time SkyWest will want when things turn?

What is the best resource for preparing for an interview or just reviewing aviation concepts? Books, websites...?

Turbine pilots manual. Any aviation weather book. Know your systems for the most complex a/c you fly. Jepp plates, and all things ifr. Get together with other pilots/cfi's and learn from eachother. Professional prep a few months before the interview, to include crm and sim training. Congrats to yourself for trying to improve. While others are wallowing in self pity, you will be ready to go when the dam breaks.

Just tell them you dream of flying 10 legs in a 16 hour duty day, unions are evil, and pay is unimportant.

Check out the book, " Airline Pilot Interviews" by Irv Jasinski. It is a pretty good book. It is a bit steep at $25, but invaluable if it gets you a job!
