The good news is we will now know if we are Delta Material. The bad news is we will now know if we are not Delta material. I could see a bunch of FO’s jumping to places like PSA since they will know they don’t have a chance at Delta. This could make attrition Higher. We will have to wait and see.

Time will tell but I think Delta knows if the SSP goes bad no one will be left.

Interview 64 per month, but only required to take 12/m in 2015 and 15/m in 2016? So any one person has a 20% shot at getting the CJO? Of the 32 CA and 32 FO's interviewing for the month do any CJO's HAVE to be given to FO's? Just take 12 captains like they want anyways and be done with it? There has to be more to this.

I'm happy for the guys who live in a commutable base and/or really dream of working at Delta. It's a legitimate opportunity.

However, with them taking 144 pilots in 2015 and 180 in 2016, unless you are a very senior FO you will likely spend close to half a decade at 9E waiting to flow. (assuming you even pass the SSP). Especially with the re-interviews of the previously failed CA's mixed in, who will have priority if they pass round 2.

This math works if you assume everyone waits for the coveted Delta job. I expect to see people also leave to American and United as they ramp up hiring. Some will hold out forever for Delta...while others will take the first legacy that gives them a class date. I see this as a good thing that it presents an opportunity for FOs that they would not have had otherwise, but if a LCC or other legacy calls them it won't necessarily be enough to have them stick around. I do think this could slow the lateral moves coupled with the retention bonuses.

They plan on basically making a pool for us. They interview everyone and put us in a pool. I believe they will treat us just like anyone else interviewing. They will not hold it against us that we are SSP. It is up to the individual to pass. Not all of us will pass just like not everyone on the street will have the opportunity to interview with Delta. They could interview all of us and only take the min until all interviews are down. However I do not think they will do this. I think they will be honest with this attempt at interviewing. We are around the 700 number seniority. So it is really hard to know how long it will take until the bottom guy as of today would get a class date a Delta.

If I get the Delta cjo that's great. I will stay until one of 2 happens I get a class date or another mainline offers me a class date. I'm not gonna leap frog from RJ to RJ carrier unless I know I have no future here. Plus it will reduce the stress of not knowing your plan B when the dust settles
