Endeavor is a decent place to work right now. We are a regional so no future is certain, but it will be a solid place to be at for another couple of years at least. Retention bonus for another couple years of $23k. Research, research, research.

Also what about Cape Air or PenAir right there in BOS?

Let me know if I can be of help.
Iwork at Cape Air and his chances of getting Boston or even a base anywhere close to Boston would take years. A guy whose been here for like 6 years just got it. I'm also from new england and it took 2 years of seniority to get a base just in the northeast region and im still 3 hours from home. Pen Air or one of the LGA or JFK regionals are you best bet to be based in boston.

What makes republic "industry worst travel"? I know the WOs obviously have the leg up but as compared to say somewhere like skywest, xjt, mesa, etc?

I've got lots of years before mandatory retirement. Why does it matter?

I would give piedmont or endeavor a look.

Pdt would give you a phl base and ez commute and American travel benefits which I think are pretty good. Also pdt health insurance is very good in my opinion. I hear great things about endeavor as well.

For the Newark base look into Commutair, my friend there is very happy and had lots of time off.

[QUOTEFor me this is more about the fun of learning to fly jets in a part 121 environment.][/QUOTE]

Anyone want to know why pay is in the toilet, lookee here. Retired doesn't need the money, doing this for fun, and well past the old "cut-off " of age 32 that existed in the days of big money.

Nothing against the above, just realize economics is about supply and demand. The supply has grown in all kinds of new directions while demand is growing steadily bug slow outside of retirement replacements. Retirements ain't growth, it's replacements

Well I don't know about everyone else but I'd rather sit next to the OP on a 4-day than the sour, angry, broke, twice-divorced regional lifer CA I just had to spend 20 block hours with. This guy absolutely hated flying, hated aviation, hated life, and probably hated himself too.

To the OP, good for you. Go for it. Clearly you're doing this because you want to, not because you have to. Be warned, the allure of this job fades fast... The jet becomes just another airplane, and spending 19 days a month on the road gets old quickly. That said, I'd bet your enthusiasm will be a breath of fresh air for some of the CAs you fly with.

I can't answer your question since I work for Skywest and we don't have a BOS base, but Endeavor sounds like your best bet. Enjoy the ride.
