Oh I wasn't laughing, just pointing out the irony of operating what could be 70 year old airframes in commercial service out of an airport that will no doubt see a lot of 747-8 freighters. Kinda fun to think about it.
As for the -9s, yeah, I doubt I'd ever see one in Port Alsworth, that's for sure. As I've mentioned to a few friends of mine, their just trading up from 60 year old piston pounders to 40 year old jets.
I wonder what they'd have to move to when (and if!) the -6s get put out to pasture.
