[....]the guy that posted this, I have to agree with him. You are seriously debating instructing over a 121 job??? 121 turbine PIC is 121 turbine PIC...jet or turboprop. Turboprop PIC is better than turbojet SIC time. We have guys that leave here and go directly to Omni, Frontier, Allegiant, and even Southwest and Delta. The dues you pay at Lakes are harder than at Skywest, but you're paying them a lot shorter. Come to Lakes, upgrade in a year, and be set. Nobody cares how much part 91 instructing time you have...they care about total time and 121 trubine time. The balloon payment will be paid, we still have plenty of EAS cities, and we are getting a new contract. Again, a no brainer IMHO. BTW, it's not a 2 year upgrade here; most junior CA is Feb 2010. 15 months.
