Don't fret. It's not that cold in Anchorage.
Last February, I had an MD-11 flight which departed ANC at about 11 AM. I'm a commuter from the North East and my F/O lived a little north of Anchorage. It was very cold that day; about -9 Celsius. We met at our hub at about 0945L and on the way out to the jet, I asked him what the temperature was where he lived. He said it was -40 C when he left home. Now that's cold! So don't be so afraid of the temps in Anchorage, you could be flying out of Fairbanks.
