I'd have to wave the BS flag a little bit here. I would love to see that HI1. I'm by no means an expert but I've played the game long enough to understand how to max my pay.
I just don't see any way possible for you to credit 140 hours and only fly 60 or 70.
actually, I take that back, the only way i see to do that is if you had two vacations in a month and worked them and also flew with an IOE captain, got displaced and then picked up a 4 day.
and that doesn't happen every month, so for him to average that.... well someone is fibbing.
other than that, you cant get enough flying dropped in the transition even with 30 in 7 to warrant that kind of credit. On top of that you still have to pick up more flying to increase the credit.
My example for this month is I will get about 113 hours. I did this without being taken off for transition but I lost a lot of flying because of weather, then picked up at 150%. However, i still flew 98 hours for May.
On that example, even if i dropped an average day of say, 5.5 hours of flying in the transition, i might only be able to add between 10 and 12 hours of pay for a total of 125.
I'm not saying 140 is impossible, but to say that you could do that continuously for 11 or 12 months of the year while flying 60-70 hrs would be nothing short of magical.
