Assuming you make it that far, and that's assuming a fair amount, it'll be a small enough percentage of your career that you should really disregard it when deciding whether an aviation career is worthwhile. Quoting salary and schedule "once you make it" is a ploy of the flight training industry and others with something to sell. Your salary and schedule in the years you could really use a good salary and schedule - early marriage, raising your kids - is what you should really be investigating. Unfortunately until some things change in this industry, what you'll find isn't particularly encouraging.
