When the ramper came to the jetway to get the gate checked bags I asked him if there was a dumpster downstairs he could put my flight kit in. Yep. I'm very much looking forward to being without the flight kit. But it's a little sentimental for me. I'm still using my original flight kit (with TWA logo) that I bought as a new hire at TWA back in 1989. That bag's been with me on every flight for almost 22 years! I'm definitely keeping it... but it sure will be nice not to have to lug it around anymore.
