The 10 day clock has started and they have to make a decision. do they give up and get displaced to LGA or do they resign their mesaba number and stay at pinnacle. You would think that the mesaba union would want to help those pilots stay where they are at since they are where they want to be.

If you ask the mesaba guys at pinnacle right now they would say that the mesaba mec has the same "credibility" as the pncl one now.
I don't see how this is going to ruin their lives, at worst they are going to go to training for a couple of months, make 24hr per diem and then when the SLI comes out probably go right back to where they were. Besides 9E, and 9L management don't want these guys going back to training and frankly neither should the pilots there. Both companies are severely understaffed and all this is going to do is make QOL worse for the pilots that have to fill in for those that will be in training. XJ MEC is not trying to screw their pilots, they just want a fair and ACCURATE LIST from the 9E MEC, and I don't believe that it has to do with the hire date vs check-ride date. If they agreed to an LOA then I am yet to see them go back on their word. In the time I have been at this company I have not seen our MEC lie to us or do anything that is not in the best interest of the entire pilot group. I also have not seen them do anything during the joint contract negotiation that were not in the best interests of all three pilot groups.
