If you remember, it wasn't that long ago that there was no CASS but if the company could electronically verify your employment, you COULD ride in the front of the airplane. I don't really think the high paid legacy pilot gave a sh1t rather or not this reginonal pilot was going to get a letter in his file for a missed trip, or whether or not I got home.

I would never be in a position to have said legacy pilot interview for a job at my company, although that would be pretty funny. But god forbid he/she ever tried to get a ride on an airplane where I had control of who rode on my JS.

First off, there are *********s no matter where you go. CAL, NWA, DAL, FEDEx and everyone else has a few. They aren't the norm, so don't think most Legacay Pilots don't give a SH*t.

Second, Never say never. There are many Furloughed mainline Pilots who are currently working at the regionals. You just never know. I has always been told "Be nice to the folks you pass on the way up because you never know when you might pass them again on the way down"

The water always seems to seek level out eventially. Fedex's jumpseat policy is a little different than most of the PAX side. We rarely accept walk up jumpseaters unless you can get to the Capt in the Outstation before he goes through security. In any case you and anyone else on our list are always welcome in my cockpit.
