As much as management across many regionals have unfairly passed the blame onto the workforce, I think the flying public has a fair amount of blame to be shouldered.
The flying public are the ones making ticket purchashing decisions based on who is two bucks cheaper on priceline. Then they turn around and act shocked that the cheapo bargain tickets bought them a ride that didn't meet their high standards. I did like the 'Flying Cheap' documentary, but one glaring omission in my opinion, was that the public was not chastised for their empty-headed purchasing decisions.
