As you posted that on Thursday, AA got approval from the FAA...

The APA is working with AA and the FAA on a trial using iPads to eliminate manuals and paper charts for all phases of flight according to FO Hank Putek a member of the APA Safety Committee.

The trials are initially on AA's 777 from LAX to NRT and PVG
