Fishfreighter, I'm happy for you. Seriously, I am, I wish it were so for all of us. But there are only a few Legacy ALPA carriers who still have a (non-bankrupt) retirement plan.
My point is: In this line of work, the only thing constant is change. What looks like a Sure Thing today, might put you on the unemployment line by next year. You have to step back and take a good, long term, look around. In the next 25 years, I see a whole lot of growth in the 3rd. world, and who is going to fly there? A US Carrier, or Emirates?
