Being a check airman and actually having the pleasure of "training" some of the low time wonders I am very glad that we have something; although it is not perfect. When I was doing OE for these pilots I found myself going back to my flight instructor days and actually teaching basic aerodynamic principles instead of items that relate to the specific airplane.

This is not going to be a perfect solution but it is a step in the right direction.
