6 weeks, 6000 bucks (2001 dollars), 37.5 hours (it was a 141 program before you start telling me that's not possible).
Having said that, I've had private students go for their ride from 41-150 hours. The 150 finally gave up...I transfered her to another instructor after 55 hours and no solo, he flew with her for 50 or so more and gave her to an assistant chief instructor...he still couldn't get her through and she finally quit.
National average is 65 hours.
