Indep...

While I don't envy you at all, I DO highly respect your passion to continue after your failures.

One thing you will learn very quickly in aviation is that you WILL mess up. It happens to everyone. What matters is what you take from those situations, what you learn from them, and how you implement the lessons learned to your daily aviation knowledge.

There's nothing better than a pilot who is humble and only wants to better himself. A pilot that never admits how good he really is and just does the best he can day in and day out and is consistently pushing himself to be better is the pilot that is going to go the distance. I don't think anyone on this board can argue with that statement (although some will simply for argument sake).

Your 5 busts are a lot there's no argument there. And it will be a difficult road ahead. But what you need to do now is what some other guys have said... Maintain a clean record from here on out and always push yourself to be better. Above all else, DO NOT listen to your instructors when they tell you how good you are. If they say something always ask, "what can I improve on?". This will help keep things in check.

You've got a long road ahead of you my friend, but it's not impossible. Keep your head up, keep your skills sharp, keep your ego in check, and keep pushing yourself. You'll get to where you want to be.

Oh, and I'm not going to beat a dead horse, but always own your failures... Your "fault" or not, they ALWAYS are to the person interviewing you.

Good luck to you, sir!
