Fact is the 777 is, to me, an unreliable commuting vehicle at this point. It's great it carries more freight and is more profitable, but there are generally no backups. Get bumped...you're toast.

Which is why I now BUY tickets out of my d/h bank to the max extent. I use it all. No more commuting on the company and turning some of those $ back in like I used to. Airline reliability is higher if you can believe that.

Funny, if people (or the Union) brought this up with the company and proved that there was a financial incentive (savings) of standardizing these two airplanes so that bank money could be saved month in month out - perhaps they would see it as a financially smart move to upgrade these two birds.

Granted bank money is an unproven commodity that would be hard to justify on the balance sheet, but if month in month out the bank returned to the company went down, the upgrade would pay for itself in a very short period of time.
