hey Blueskies. I just read that LOA and the statement right before that leads me to a different interpretation. I could be wrong, but what I am reading is that anyone awarded a vacancy and has not received moving days under the old CBA can still have moving expenses...then the word that I think changes it all is right before your statement....", except Pinnacle pilots who are awarded..." and so on. This leads me to think more of it as a deadline. You had until SLI to take your moving days under the old CBA, but once SLI happened you'd move to the new CBA rules. It's a tough read, and I probably need a lawyer to find out what they all were really trying to say, but Im hung up on that word 'except'. I really hope I am wrong because my interpretation leaves me right where I started...only trying to argue the language 'moving expenses' in section 6.6(I) as I really need the time off to move whether I am actually eligible for per diem and hotels or not. As of now Im being told no days off...PERIOD to move.

Seems to me like that's pretty cut and dried. Don't let the compnay tell you what you are and aren't entitled to, they will ALWAYS make it work in their favor. Now if you WERE one of the guys who came last week then you are still entitled to moving days but the benefit is much reduced. And if you tell them that you're still entitled to it and they won't give it to you, call the contract duty officer, that's what they're there for.
