Yes.
Maybe we could have saved a few jobs and spots on a future SLI reaming if we had dropped our LCO max from 95 (98 in some months) to something pre-BK contract. Raising the cap was concessionary and was used to justify our pathetic hourly rates in the guise of "efficiency" (ie. we all work MORE for LESS money now).
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with somebody picking up open time and maxing out their schedule.....when there are no hostages on the street. UPS and Fedex seem to have understood that during the current downturn, UAL MEC was a bit late. Doesn't matter now, of course, it is what it is.
BTW, I don't see this as a CAL vs UAL or junior vs senior thing. But what is distressing is how can we expect to have any solidarity that might lead to a strike when we don't even have the solidarity to not maximize our own personal interests right now? Just asking.
