I want to echo DoomedTX's comment. I have been a long time lurker, reading the threads, and the information put out. Pretty much the same situation Doomed is in, I am looking at retirement in 14 months, with a 6 month deployment to the desert right before I can retire at 21 years (I took the bonus, seemed like a smart idea at the time, but hey, I am still flying so I am not complaining!). I exceed the mins for application, but still need to work on the rest of the qualifications. Completed the Class I flight physical a couple weeks ago, and scheduled the ATP written and check ride at the end of the month. Along with the FEX and MCI right afterwards.
One question, should I add the Radio Operator's license to the list of things to do also?
Anyways, nothing to add to this discussion except to say thanks for posting all the information, and helping those of us that are trying to get in a position to get hired!
